CHRISTMAS HEALTH

With the year coming to an end there are many opportunities to celebrate whether it be at family get-togethers, work Christmas parties, new years and more. This time of year can sometimes be a little tiring both mentally and physically. Here are some tips from Australian Chiropractors to help you stay on top of your health.

Be merry in moderation

Don’t deprive yourself of holiday treats but take everything in moderation. In the holiday season it is common to see those waistbands expand so it is important to remember which foods have nutritional value. Small rewards now and then are better than saving yourself for one large serving.

Remember to keep moving

When work ends for the year and holidays begin it is easy to fall out of your usual weekly routines. Exercise during the holiday period is just as important as any other time of the year, especially if you are planning on having some extra Christmas treats.

Find your happy place

The Christmas holiday period is often filled with many events with family and/or friends, however don’t forget that it is the perfect time for you to relax. So when you are putting those gatherings into your calendar try to also block out some time for you. This will benefit you both mentally and physically. Mental health is important during the holiday period too. So find some time to rest, catch up on a book or maybe treat yourself to a bit of a sleep in.

At Body Care Health and Chiropractic we are here for you all year round.

Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!
